What Is An Overdenture?

An overdenture is a unique dental prosthesis typically used to replace all the teeth in an arch (upper or lower). It consists of two parts: the denture base, which includes several dental implants along the arch, and artificial teeth attached to the denture base. To secure the denture in place, special implants are placed in the jawbone for a strong and durable foundation. Overdentures are designed for maximum stability and comfort while maintaining good oral hygiene and function. They also help restore facial form as the implant preserves the natural bone structure and keeps patients from having a sunken-in appearance due to bone loss after tooth loss.
